Lava files patent infringement claim against royalblue
royalblue, the leading
supplier of global financial trading software,
notes the announcement released earlier today
by Lava Trading Inc. that it has filed a patent
infringement claim in the United States in respect
of the business process of ECN consolidation.
The patent relates to the concept of displaying
prices from more than one source (ECN) on a single
screen. Accordingly, this is only relevant to
a small element of the royalblue
product suite.
royalblue, having taken legal
advice, believes that the lawsuit is without merit
and will be defending it vigorously.
